Features include: Class "A" discrete operation, Swedish made Lundahl audio transformers on the inputs and outputs. All gold connectors, relay and gain switches throughout the signal path. 24 position stepped ladder type gain switch, employing only 1 resistor per setting for minimum noise. LED VU meter with latching peak hold leds for clip and -3db. Direct 1/4" unbalanced input jack. Talc filled "soft touch" collet knobs. The highest quality components available have been auditioned and chosen for this circuit based purely on double blind listening tests and not cost. Three polar patterns include Cardioid, Omni and Figure of Eight. High voltage regulated power supply included.

The Origin Audio OA-2B compressor is constructed using Urei LA2a design. It’s an optical tube compressor/limiter built with high-end audio components, includes audiophile grade parts not found in the original LA2a, such as Holco metal film resistors, Auricap, Multicap, Solen capacitors, and Swedish made Lundahl audio transformers (input and output). This results in greater transparency than the original LA2a. Point to point hand wired. The T4-B optical unit is included. The OA-2B are stereo linkable.
